ELifelines.org - Free Business Mentoring
By M2 | May 12, 2006
As entrepreneurs we understand the technology needs of start-up companies, and alway enjoy offering assistance, advice and support as a means to lend a helping hand. One organization that we are involved with is Entrepreneurial Lifelines. Entrepreneurial Lifelines is a collection of successful Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania based entrepreneurs who are committed to assisting new businesses with free mentoring advice to help the region cultivate economic growth and developement.
The goal for Entrepreneurial Lifelines is to create Mentor/Mentee relationships whereby professional business experience can be shared with up-and-coming companies in the Pittsburgh region. This gives people with diverse business goals a wealth of experience at their finger tips - simply signup and learn more. It is also a great way to learn more about businesses that are making a difference in the community.
Elifelines has been a great experience for us. We have had the opportunity to meet some wonderful people that have offered sound business advice. The benefits for small companies include having the ability to learn from the experience of others (why re-invent the wheel?), gaining advice regarding which directions to head (and NOT to head), as well as how to overcome obstacles that all business owners face. The best part of the program is that all business mentoring is FREE! I definitely encourage business owners to visit the site to learn more about becomming a “Mentee” or “Mentor.”
Due to our keen interest in promoting entrepreneurialship, M2Technology has donated the design, development and hosting of the Entrepreneurial Lifelines website. We hope that by helping to make this opportunity available for business owners, people will take advantage of this tremendous resource. We are also developing the Entrepreneurial Business Forum as a place where members can share ideas, experience and general thoughts on issues facing business owners today. Everyone is encouraged to join in the conversation! We extend our warmest welcome to members of young start-ups, experienced serial entrepreneurs, and anyone interested in participating. By offering an open “arena” for discussion, we hope to create a robust environment for all members to benefit from everyone’s input.
