M2Technology is pleased to announce the introduction of MailFoundry Spam and Virus filtering services. As a Pittsburgh based provider of web hosting services we are committed to our customers e-mail security. With this in mind we are very excited about the addition of MailFoundry security appliances to our network. MailFoundry is an industry leading hardware-based spam and virus filtering solution that allows for Enterprise level e-mail security.
Of greatest concern for our hosting customers is the issue of dealing with Spam. In order to minimize this problem, we have implemented an industry leading solution.
In a nut-shell our MailFoundry appliances are dedicated servers that sit in between the Internet and our existing e-mail servers. In this fashion we are able to filter all e-mail that enters our network, effectively protecting our customers from the latest Spam, Virus and Phishing based e-mail attacks. MailFoundry Enterprise level Spam filtering encompases some of the highest industry standards regarding false positives - M2Technology customers receive legitamate email with less than a one in one million chance of being quarantined.
Similar to the Anti-Virus software on your PC, our MailFoundry appliances use continuously updated Spam and Virus definitions to help combat e-mail threats. Contaminated messages are quarantined for a period of five days, giving customers the opportunity to review them individually. Our Spam and Virus definitions are updated every five minutes by human Spam editors to ensure even the most recent Spam outbreaks are efficiently filtered.
As a convenience we provide daily notification of all messages that have been blocked for each mailbox hosted with M2Technology. The M2Technology E-mail Security Digest outlines e-mail messages that have been quarantined by the E-mail Security Filtration System. The Daily Digest also gives customers the ability to view messages, release them to their inbox - or simply do nothing and they will automatically be deleted - no action is required. E-mail security has never been easier!
We feel that our investment will add tremendous value for our customers. All e-mail accounts hosted with M2Technology, including those under our virtual web hosting and dedicated IP web hosting packages, will be configured for this advanced filtering option - at no extra charge.
In the near future M2Technology will also be adding MailFoundry E-mail filtering services for customers that prefer to continue hosting with their current web hosting provider.
